Green Bay Photos needed for Broadway project On Broadway Inc. is searching for experienced photographers to capture scenes of the current Broadway district. Photos accepted by On Broadway will be combined with existing photos of the district taken from the late 1800s to the mid 1900s to create an exhibit for museum and gallery display. The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will work with On Broadway to create the exhibit. New photographs can be taken within the approximate boundaries of Fort Howard in 1895, when it was annexed by the City of Green Bay: The Bay of Green Bay to the north; the Fox River to the east; Lombardi Avenue to the south; and Taylor Street to the west. Interested photographers can contact On Broadway for specifics on the areas to be photographed and developing options. All photos must be black and white on fiber-based paper. Entries must be submitted by Oct. 31. A committee will review the submissions and select the ones to be used in the exhibit. All prints become the property of On Broadway. The exhibit will consist of about 75 new and existing photos and will be shown in May 2002. For more information, call 437-2531. Ashwaubenon Names not released in car-duplex accident Ashwaubenon Public Safety officials said Sunday they were unable to release the names of the four teenagers injured when the car they were in crashed into a vacant duplex at 568 Cormier Road Saturday afternoon. According to police reports, the 16-year-old male driver was doing at least 70 mph headed east on Cormier. When the car hit railroad tracks just east of Cormier's intersection with Ashland Avenue, it became airborne for a short time, went out of control and skidded through a bedroom wall of the duplex. The driver and his passengers, another teenage male and two teenage females, were not wearing seat belts. They were taken to St. Vincent Hospital and treated for what were reported as non-life-threatening injuries. No one was living in that side of the duplex. The driver was cited for reckless driving. The front of the car, including the engine, was folded back against its firewall. The names of those involved could be released today, following notification of relatives. Waukesha County Chmura facing another trial Former Green Bay Packer tight end Mark Chmura's legal troubles apparently aren't over in Waukesha County. Chmura could be headed to trial June 27 for a ticket that accuses him of contributing to drinking by minors. The alleged incident happened at the a post-prom party after which Chmura was accused of and charged with third-degree sexual assault and child enticement against a 17-year-old girl. Chmura was acquitted of the two felonies after a two-week trial. Jonathan Smith, one of his attorneys, said Chmura wants to contest the misdemeanor ticket in court rather than pay a forfeiture of up to $500. Waukesha Count District Attorney Paul Bucher said he has no plans to drop the remaining charge against Chmura. He has not filed underage drinking charges against the minors who were drinking at the party, but he said he would issue them tickets after the Chmura case is completed.
