Business brief News-Chronicle Green Bay WPS drops Andersen, hires new auditor WPS Resources Corp., the parent company of Wisconsin Public Service Corp., Wednesday announced it has selected Deloitte & Touche as its new independent auditor, replacing Arthur Andersen. "Arthur Andersen has always conducted their audits of WPS Resources with the utmost integrity and professionalism, but our investors are concerned because of the recent negative publicity affecting a small portion of Andersen," Larry Weyers, WPS Resources chairman, president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. The switch to Deloitte & Touche was approved by the Audit Committee of the WPS board of directors.
