Green Bay Judge finds local man guilty for role in fatal crash In Brown County Circuit Court on Thursday, James Bunnell, 70, of Ashwaubenon, was found guilty of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Bunnell's conviction stems from the Sept. 22 fatal accident in which Bunnell's Jeep collided with Patrick J. Obermeyer's Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Bunnell made a left-hand turn in front of Obermeyer, who had not been wearing a helmet. Obermeyer died from his injuries the next day. Bunnell's blood-alcohol level was 0.15 percent; Obermeyer had a blood-alchohol level of 0.12 percent. Both were over the legal limit of 0.10 percent. Bunnell's trial was heard by Judge Mark Warpinski instead of a jury. Bunnell can be sentenced to up to 40 years in prison.
