Georgia-Pacific announced Monday that about 30 jobs will be created in Green Bay because the company will consolidate its three consumer operations centers into two by the end of the year.
The Norwalk, Conn., customer operations center will close and the Atlanta and Green Bay operations will expand. About 200 employees will be affected by the closing and they will be offered the opportunity to stay with the company in Green Bay or Atlanta, the company said in a press release. The Atlanta location will expand by 160 positions.
The Green Bay facility will support commercial and food service accounts.
The expansion of the centers should begin by August and is scheduled to be completed by October.
