Kewaunee man killed in head-on crash News-Chronicle Kewaunee County recorded its fourth traffic fatality of 2003 on Tuesday when a Kewaunee man was killed in a head-on collision reported at approximately 4:36 p.m. on State 42, about a quarter mile north of Fourth Road in the town of Pierce. According to information released by the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department, Brandon L. Giudice, 20, died at the accident scene after his truck, which was southbound on 42, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a minivan driven by Kali L. Danforth, 20, of Washington Island. Danforth was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital by Eagle III, while her passenger, Marshall F. Welsh, 22, of Kewaunee, was transported for treatment to St. Vincent by ambulance. Immediately following the crash, the Sheriff's Department received assistance from the Kewaunee Police Department, Algoma Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol to detour traffic around the accident scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Department with the assistance of a traffic accident reconstruction team from the State Patrol.
