Gard asks for blood donations
Wisconsin Assembly Speaker John Gard, R-Peshtigo, has joined Bipartisan Legislators Organized for Outreach to Donors, or BLOOD, a campaign designed to heighten awareness about the need for blood donations.

The campaign will educate constituents, promote donating opportunities and increase blood donors levels throughout the state. During the summer months, donations typically drop and additional donations are needed to retain the supply.

Members of both political parties have signed on to the campaign.
