Salon Aura of Appleton and Neenah will cut hair. Verizon Wireless will be collecting used wireless phones and accessories to help victims of domestic abuse. The phones will be collected at all Lambeau gates starting at 10 a.m. The Verizon HopeLine program refurbishes, recycles and sells donated phones and parts and donates the proceeds to domestic abuse prevention groups. Last year's drive collected 300 phones. Earn-a-buck likely Deer hunters in parts of Northeast and East Central Wisconsin can expect to see earn-a-buck hunting regulations in 2004 unless enough antlerless deer are harvested this fall. The number of deer is still far above prescribed population goals even after several years of Zone T hunting seasons, said Tom Bahti, regional wildlife supervisor for the state's Department of Natural Resources, in a news release. He said agricultural damage caused by deer is increasing, the number of deer killed by cars has reached record highs and damage to native vegetation is approaching "alarming levels." Unless a large number of deer are hunted this season, hunters should be able to earn the privlige of hunting extra bucks next year. This year's Zone T antlerless hunts are Oct. 30-Nov. 2 in the Northeast Region. Free Zone T antlerless tags may be filled by licensed bow or gun hunters in any Zone T unit. Unlimited additional bonus antlerless deer permits are available for these units at $12 each ($20 for out-of-state residents). The Zone T antlerless tags may also be used during the Nov. 22-30 gun deer season and the Dec. 1-10 muzzleloader hunt. More information on Zone T and other deer management zones may be found on the DNR's Web site at www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/wildlife/hunt/deer/deermanunit.htm.
