Student brings pellet gun to Ashwaubenon High School

News-Chronicle

An Ashwaubenon High School student brought a pellet gun designed to look like a 9-mm semiautomatic handgun to school Tuesday and was found by police after school in possession of the gun.

The school's liaison officer was told by another student about the gun and Ashwaubenon Public Safety officers searched for the student after school.

The 16-year-old student was found at his home at about 3 p.m. Tuesday by police. He turned over the gun.

Police said the student might have brought the gun to school to get the upper hand in an argument with another student. The department recommended charges of display of a facsimile weapon and dangerous weapon on school grounds.
