Prevea Clinic held a ceremony Wednesday making the start of construction of its new $22.6 million facility on the site of the former Beaumont Clinic in Allouez. The building will consolidate Prevea's offices into one central location.
The 120,000-square-foot medical center on Webster Avenue will house the offices of about 40 primary care and specialty physicians in the areas of internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, opthalmology, optometry, physiatry, neurology, pulmonology and MRI technology.
Construction of the brick building is expected to take 18 months and doctors could see patients at the clinic in spring 2005.
Prevea has 17 locations in Northeast Wisconsin and employs more than 150 doctors. It is partnered with St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center and St. Vincent Hospital.
