The tension Sunday at The Bar's Lime Kiln Road location was thicker than the sauce on its chicken wings.
Green Bay Packers fans nibbled and yelled, as if the targets of their comments were elsewhere in the room and not on the multiple TV screens around them.
They chanted "go, go" as the Packers debated a fourth-down play, and groaned as Ryan Longwell's last-second attempt at a game-winning field goal fell short.
"C'mon tails!" somebody at the bar yelled at the overtime coin flip. It came up heads, and the tension increased.
"When we lost the toss," said Gary Perdue of Green Bay, "I thought we'd had it."
Instead, the game, and shouting, continued.
As play stopped for a key fourth-down replay and the official stepped forward, one fan could be heard to mutter "listen to how quiet the stadium got," ignoring the fact that the fans around him were just as quiet."
And as Seattle took its second shot in overtime, another fan yelled "you're killing me here."
Then, stunningly, Al Harris grabbed the ball and scooted for the winning touchdown, and the tension broke loose into a roar.
Fans hugged. Bartenders hugged. Everyone jumped up and down.
"It's the team of destiny," Perdue said. "I think they've got a good shot (next week) at Philadelphia."
"It was scary for a while," said Michelle Bruechhuber, who had watched the entire game with friends from a table in front of the biggest screen.
"I believe (they can beat Philadelphia), but the offense has got to get things together."
THREE ARRESTS AT GAME
Green Bay police reported three arrests and 11 ejections from Sunday's game. The three arrests were for unlawful conduct.
Three people were ejected for attempting to conceal items as they entered Lambeau Field; the others were for alcohol-related disorderly conduct.
