De Pere man arrested for computer sex crimes News-Chronicle De Pere police said Monday they had arrested a man Saturday for allegedly using a computer to facilitate child sex crimes. Nicholas P. Arendt, 22, was arrested at 850 Morning Glory Lane on charges of use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime; solicitation to commit first degree sexual assault of a child; attempted first degree sexual assault of a child and exposing a child to harmful narrations. All are felonies. The arrest was made by De Pere police and special agents from the state Division of Criminal Investigation. The investigation, they said, was conducted "without exposing any juveniles to the subject or inappropriate materials." The case is under investigation.
