News-Chronicle

Green Bay police are seeking a man in the shooting of three people at an apartment on Ashland Avenue.

Police received a report of shots fired at 102 S. Ashland Ave. at 3:21 a.m. The three people who were shot did not have life-threatening injuries.

Police said there was a group of people in the apartment, all in their late teens and early 20s. The suspect, described only as a black male in his early 20s, was talking to a person from the apartment. Witnesses say they heard someone say "he has a gun" and the suspect was seen holding one handgun, reaching into a vehicle and pulling out a second handgun.

The suspect began to shoot through the wall and window, hitting three people. Police did not release any information on the victims and are still looking for a motive.

Police said they have responded to seven calls at the address for minor problems, including parking and animal situations. Anyone with information is asked to call the department, 448-3200, or Crime Stoppers, 432-7867.
