A Sheboygan man accused of driving a stolen car to Algoma has been sentenced in Kewaunee County Circuit Court to a year in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision.
Jeffrey M. Goelzer, 40, convicted of driving a vehicle without consent, has also been ordered to pay $357 in fines and court costs, plus restitution in an amount to be determined. He has been given four days credit toward his prison sentence.
According to the court complaint, Goelzer claimed May 9 he had borrowed a car, which turned out to be stolen from a dealership in Sheboygan. His driver's license had been revoked and he was on probation at the time of his arrest.
