GREEN BAY
Green Bay native Kelly Fitzpatrick can't stray too far from the theater.
Fitzpatrick was a longtime colleague of the late Fred Alley, who wrote numerous plays including "The Spitfire Grill," and she is also marking her 11th season with the acclaimed Utah Shakespearean Festival.
This year, she's designing costumes for a production of "The Spitfire Grill," and she's using her long experience with American Folklore Theatre as a guide.
"I was the first costume designer for the American Folklore Theatre," she said. "We worked in a giant, rustic old barn. I've shared my costume storage with a family of raccoons."
"Grill" runs in repertory with Shakespeare's "Macbeth" and Noel Coward's "Blithe Spirit" through Oct. 30. For more information, visit www.bard.org.
