Timothy G. Reilly announced Saturday he will step down as president of Notre Dame de la Baie Academy to join the Green Bay Diocese office in Allouez.
Reilly will become diocesan director of administration. He is also the deacon at Resurrection Parish in Green Bay.
Reilly will leave his job on a full-time basis Jan. 3 and continue on a part-time basis until a new president is installed, he said in a letter to parents.
"The time here at the academy has been a blessing to me in being able to be an integral part of a loving faith community that is dedicated to excellence in education," he said.
Fr. Jay Fostner, president of the Notre Dame board of education, said Reilly had "accomplished much" in his stay.
"He has developed and begun the implementation of a solid stragetic educational plan," he said in another letter sent to parents. "Student enrollment is up and a short and long-term financial plan is in place."
Before taking the Notre Dame post, Reilly held several executive-level positions at Fort James Corp., which has since merged into Georgia-Pacific. Reilly spearheaded the commercial business integration process during the merger of the former Fort Howard and James River companies in 1997, becoming the president of North American Commercial Business for Fort James.
