Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Brett Favre threw for 257 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Green Bay stopped a four-game losing streak with a 38-10 pounding of Detroit in an NFC North showdown at Ford Field.

Donald Driver caught nine passes for 110 yards and two scores, while Ahman Green ran 21 times for 81 yards and threw a touchdown pass as well for the Packers (2-4), who ended their longest slide since 1991.

Green Bay dominated in every phase of the game. The offense rolled up 434 yards and held the ball for nearly 40 minutes, while the much-maligned Packer defense limited the Lions to only 125 yards and five first downs. Detroit (3-2) went three-and-out on seven of its 11 possessions and mustered just 33 yards on the ground against a Packer squad ranked 30th against the run.

Joey Harrington was held to 101 yards on 12-of-23 passing and threw one touchdown for the Lions, who had a two-game win streak snapped. Az Hakim had four catches for 49 yards, including a 28-yard score in the second quarter.

The Packers had allowed over 400 yards in each of their last three outings and surrendered a whopping 48 points in Monday night's loss to Tennessee.

Favre, who finished 25-of-38 from the air, threw a touchdown pass for the 31st consecutive game, which moved the 34-year-old into sole possession of second place in NFL history. He also moved past Fran Tarkenton for fourth place on the league's all-time list with 47,126 career yards.

Favre started off on fire, as he completed all five of his pass attempts to lead Green Bay on a 11-play, 75-yard opening drive capped by a seven-yard scoring pass to Driver at the 6:48 mark of the first quarter.

Harrington responded by making good on 4-of-5 throws on the ensuing possession, which resulted in the tying touchdown. The Lions moved into Packer territory via a 26-yard screen to Artose Pinner and Harrington connected with Hakim for a six-yard strike to the Green Bay 28 on 3rd-and-3. The pair again hooked up on a crossing route on the following play, with Hakim outrunning the Green Bay secondary into the end zone for a 7-7 score with 3:47 left in the first quarter.

A 13-yard TD pass from Favre to Tony Fisher put Green Bay back in front with 9:10 to play before halftime. The score was set up by a 50-yard bomb to Javon Walker, who burned Fernando Bryant down the far sideline, which placed the ball on the Detroit 17-yard line.

Later in the quarter, the Lions got great field position when Eddie Drummond returned a punt 27 yards to the Green Bay 47. After a nine-yard scramble by Harrington moved Detroit into field goal range, Jason Hansen booted a 48-yard field goal with 4:41 left in the half to cut the Packers lead to 14-10.

Green Bay got the ball back with 1:47 to go before intermission following an exchange of punts, which was plenty of time for Favre to get his troops back in scoring position. A 24-yard completion to Driver put the Packers near midfield and Favre found Driver again for a 14-yard pass which placed the ball on the Lions' 32. Ryan Longwell then drilled a 50-yard field goal on the final play of the half to put the visitors up 17-10 at the break.

Things turned worse for Detroit early in the second half, as Harrington was picked off on the opening drive by Darren Sharper, who then weaved his way through a number of tacklers for a 36-yard TD return which gave the Pack a commanding 24-10 advantage.

Green Bay then put the game out of reach with two long touchdown drives, each of which ate more than six minutes off the clock.

An 11-play, 63-yard series which culminated in Najeh Davenport's 13-yard run extended the Packers' cushion to three touchdowns with 3:28 left in the third quarter. On the team's next possession, Green took a pitch from Favre at the Detroit 20 and heaved a pass into the end zone which was pulled down by Driver, capping an 11-play, 77-yard march.
