De Pere residents urged to lock doors, windows News-Chronicle The De Pere Police Department is investigating a series of nighttime burglaries on the city's East Side. Police said the burglars are entering apartment complexes where the window or door was left open. In some cases the victim was home and either sleeping or in another part of the apartment. Police are urging De Pere and Ledgeview residents to lock doors and windows at night or when they are out of sight of the entry door of an apartment.
